MEET OUR STAFF
PRINCIPAL: Bryan A. Jackson, CPA
Bryan holds BS and MBA Degrees from the University of Tennessee, and has experience in
banking and manufacturing, as well as having spent several years as a member of the Faculty
at Tennessee Wesleyan College in Athens. He has been involved in civic affairs in Athens
for over twenty-five years, serving as President of the Athens Chamber of Commerce, the McMinn
County Economic Development Authority, the Athens Kiwanis Club, the McMinn County United
Way, the Tri-County Center Sheltered Workshop, the McMinn County Chapter of The University
of Tennessee National Alumni Association, and the McMinn County Living Heritage Museum.
He is treasurer of the Board of Directors of the Loudon County Chamber of Commerce, and is
Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of the Athens Housing Authority.
Bryan is an active member of Keith Memorial United Methodist Church where he had
served in a number of leadership positions. He also presently serves on the Tennessee
Board of Director's for United Community Bank.
He was chosen as Athens Man of the Year in 1993.

PRINCIPAL: R. Carter Runyan, CPA
Carter holds the BS Degree from the University of Tennessee and served as Chief Financial
Officer of the Athens Regional Medical Center before joining the firm in 1997. He has been
involved in civic affairs in Athens for a number of years, serving as President of the McMinn
County United Way, the Athens-McMinn Family YMCA, and the Athens Kiwanis Club.
He currently serves as Chairman of the Finance Committee at Keith Memorial United Methodist
Church, where he served as Treasurer for ten years. Carter is the
Chairman of the Board of Directors of Athens Utilities Board, member of the board for the Athens-McMinn Family YMCA and as a member of the Board of Directors and Chairman of the Audit Committee
of Southeast Bank and Trust.
Carter is active in the University of Tennessee National Alumni Association and has served on the executive
committee of the Board of Governor's, including a stint as Vice-President. He currently serves as an area Chairman
on the Alumni Legislative Council.
He was chosen as Athens Young Man of the Year in 1991.

Annick Moore,
Office Manager
|
Annick Moore was the first to join the staff and has been here since 1992. She enjoys working with the staff as a group, just one big family. The longevity of employees makes her job a delight. She loves her job here.
She loves to travel, read, white water raft, and being with family and friends. Her granddaughter is the joy of her and her husband’s life.
Annick received a certificate in accounting from Cleveland State Community College.

Cinda Bivens,
Accounting Associate

Cinda Bivens joined the Athens office of Jackson and Runyan, CPA’s in 2000. She enjoys the interaction with people, both on the phone and in the office. Helping the clients solve problems makes her job enjoyable. She describes her employers as caring and loves working with and for them. She enjoys working with the new technology that is offered here at Jackson and Runyan.
In her spare time you will find her somewhere with a camera in hand. She loves to travel - researching and planning the trip are half the fun. Sitting around talking with friends is another love of hers. She also enjoys cooking and eating.
Cinda has an A.S. from Cleveland State Community College in Business Management with an accounting certificate.

Stacy Edwards,
Staff Accountant

Stacy Edwards joined the firm in June of 2002. She enjoys learning new things everyday. She thinks her co-workers are the best.
She enjoys being indoors and outdoors. Indoors, she enjoys playing the piano and scrap booking. Outside, you can find her camping and fishing. Stacy is a member of Towee Falls Baptist Church in Coker Creek.
Stacy was the top graduate in the class of 2002 at Tennessee Wesleyan College.

Lee Stallings,
Accounting/Special Projects

Lee Stallings Lee joined the firm
for the 2006 tax season. She previously worked for Mr. Runyan at Athens Regional Medical Center
as Director of Information Systems. She says she enjoyed working for Carter so much that she's
come back to work for him after 10 years of being a stay-at-home mom. Lee and her husband Chris
have 3 children, Noah, Mady and Joel, who are all active in sports and school activities.

Cayce Rountree,
CPA

Cayce Rountree is a 2003
graduate of Tennessee Wesleyan College. She obtained several years of experience with
Arnett, Kirksey, Kimsey, Sullivan, Lay & Lusk, PLLC. in Cleveland, Tennessee before joining
the staff in June 2006. Cayce is enthusiastic about working for a firm who is family-oriented
and has a strong dedication to its clients. She is looking forward to getting to know the clients
and hopes that she will contribute to the growth of the firm.
Cayce has lived in McMinn County her entire life and is dedicated to the community. Her newlywed
husband, Jeremy, has worked for Mayfield Dairy Farm, Inc. for several years and they attend
Central Baptist Church. She enjoys reading, exercising, and spending time with her family and
friends.

Lindsay Richardson,
Accounting Associate

Lindsay Richardson is a 2007 graduate of
Tennessee Wesleyan College. She obtained her BS in Business Administration before joining the firm in
September 2007. She really enjoys all of her co-workers and working for such a great CPA firm.
She has lived in Athens for most of her life and enjoys the surrounding community and what it has to
offer. her husband, Wylie, is an attorney and they are active members at Eastanallee Baptist Church in
Riceville, TN. She enjoys shopping, exercising and relaxing with her family and friends.

Carol Roth,
Staff Accountant

Carol Roth joined the firm in October of 2007.
She is originally from Wichita, Kansas and now resides in Dayton, TN with her husband, Nelson. She obtained
her Associates Degree in Business Administration from McKenzie College. She worked for Buster Brown as a
Junior Engineer for 16 years, as office manager for JIT Terminal for 6 years, and worked in the finance department
for the City of Chattanooga for 3 years. Her most recent endeavor was working at Arnett, Kirksey, Kimsey, Sullivan,
Lay & Lusk, PLLC in Cleveland for 3 years. In her spare time, she enjoys running and coaching girls' basketball
at the YMCA. She really enjoys working at Jackson and Runyan and looks forward to what it has to offer for her.

Tara Crisp,
Accounting Associate

Tara joined Jackson and Runyan part-time in 2008
and loves working for such a wonderful CPA firm. She and her husband, Clint, have two beautiful children, Baylee
and Andrew and reside in Riceville, TN. In her spare time, Tara is active at Central Baptist Church and she and
her family are involved if many different activities such as Total Life. She loves hanging out with family and
friends, shopping and heading to the beach with her family when they have the chance.

Heather Kelch,
CPA

Heather Kelch graduated from The University of Tennessee in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. She gained 3 years experience working with a public accounting firm in Knoxville before joining the firm in August 2008. She looks forward to working for employers that value their families and employees.
Heather was born and raised in Loudon, TN and enjoys the small community environment. She spends her spare time with her husband, Brian, and her son, Isaac. They enjoy playing sports, working out, watching movies and socializing with family and friends.

Debbie Whitfield,
Office Manager

Debbie Whitfield has been with Jackson and Runyan, CPA’s since September of 1997. She loves the flexibility of hours here at the firm. The people she works for and with make her job an enjoyable experience. She treasures the clients she has gotten to know over the years.
Her pastimes are many. She loves doing lots of things with her family. She enjoys walking, reading, listening to music and going to the movies. Debbie is a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.

Misti Pike,
Staff Accountant

Misti Pike Misti holds a BS degree from
Tennessee Wesleyan College and served as Plant Controller of the Sea Ray Vonore plant before joining the
firm in 2007.
Misti enjoys working with small business owners and the family-friendly atmosphere at Jackson &
Runyan. She enjoys camping, fishing, reading, and spending time with her family.
Misti and her husband Tim have two children, Faith and TJ.

Cheryl Howard,
Accounting Associate

Cheryl Howard has been with the firm since 1997. She enjoys working with wonderful co-workers and great employers. Cheryl loves the flexibility and friendly atmosphere here at Jackson and Runyan CPAs.
She is married to Joe and they have three wonderful children - Heather, Nicholas, and Leah. Cheryl is often seen on the sidelines of her children's sporting activities. She is an active member of Corinth Baptist Church and enjoys shopping, reading, swimming, cooking, and being with her family.

Nicole Curtis,
Accounting Associate

Nicole Curtis is currently pursuing her
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from Colorado Technical University. She is originally from Athens, but moved
to Loudon in 2004. She and her husband Scott have two children, Jacob and Ethan.
Before joining the firm in November 2007, Nicole worked at Foothills Federal Credit Union as an accounting
assistant. Prior to that, she worked in her family's construction business for several years. She is very
excited about the opportunity to work with everyone at Jackson & Runyan.

Eleanor Kish,
Staff Accountant

Eleanor Kish joined the firm in
2007 as a part-time tax preparer. The very helpful staff has made her job so enjoyable. She has had
considerable experience working for accounting firms in Connecticut, Kentucky, Pennsylvania and Tennessee.
She attended West Liberty State College in West Virginia and the University of Louisville in Kentucky.
Her hobbies are playing bridge, boating, crafts, baking, reading and playing clarinet in the Tellico Top
Notes, a swing band in Tellico Village. She and her husband, John are active members of St. Thomas the
Apostle Church. They have two children, Randy in Cleveland, OH and Debbie in Hamden, CT and four grandchildren.
